Parent Participation
Grand View's Pre-K program is a parent participation program. Parents are required to volunteer in the classroom once a month. This helps keep the ratio of adults to children even lower and the children love when their parents work in the classroom! Parents also attend a 10 week Parent Education class that meets once a week either in the Fall, Winter or Spring trimester. This session is taught by an adult education teacher and meets the same hours as the childrens' class time. Lastly, we have monthly parent meetings with the classroom teacher when parent education is not in session. Volunteering in the classroom is a wonderful way to observe your child in the school setting and a chance for you to be involved with your child's education. It shows your child that you value learning and playing and want to be a part of it!
